The day trip to Imlil from Marrakech is a great escape from the bustle and hassle of Marrakech. You will spend the day exploring the unique culture of the Berbers living in the mountains, visit the weekly market, the mountains, have a gentle hike up to the Beber village where you will be welcomed and greeted by a local family with whom you will have a memorable time.
In the morning, we will collect you from you hotel/Riad for a day full of unique experiences. Imlil is located at the feet of the High Atlas Mountains; namely, at the feet of the Toubkal Mountain which is the highest peak in north of Africa. From Marrakech we will have a nice drive through the vast plain covered with olive trees before getting to the administrative capital of Tahanouet known for its Tuesday weekly traditional market.
Drive through the Valley of Asni and upon arrival to Imlil Village we will have a nice walk up through Berber Villages scattered at the edge of the mountains before getting to the Berber house where you will be introduce to the popular Moroccan tea ceremony. Nice lunch will be served by the local family.
After lunch, we will resume our walk through the apple and walnut trees to reach the Toubkal Kasbah, which is well-positioned on top of the mountain. In the late afternoon, we will drive back to Marrakech through the Kik Plateau.
